Mozilla Club of HackathonGirls
Mozilla Club of HackathonGirls is a project of HackathonGirls that seeks to empower young girls in the Gambia ages 8 to 18 years by creating a multidisciplinary and safe space for informal learning and exchange of experiences around digital culture. The aim is to provide participants with the skills they need so they can be informed contributors and creators of digital world.

Django Girls Workshop
Django Girls brought to you by HackathonGirls, and if you are a woman and want to learn how to make websites, we have good news for you: we hold a one-day workshop for beginners! It takes place once in a year in The Gambia. We believe the IT industry will greatly benefit from bringing more women into technology. We want to give you an opportunity to learn how to program and become one of us – women programmers!
Workshops are free of charge. If you are a woman, know English and have a laptop, you can apply for the workshop! You don't need to know any technical stuff – our workshop is for people who are new to programming. As a workshop attendee you will: attend a one-day Django workshop during which you will create your first website, be fed by us: during our event, food is provided. Read more here: Django Girls
Mozilla Club of the Swallow
Mozilla club of the Swallow is to foster the learning of ICT in the Swallow Primary School. Thus giving students and preference to girls the opportunity to learn and make good use of the Internet in a responsible way. The club has volunteers from the HackathonGirls to help out in our training sessions. We are passionate about what we do and helping to nurture young people in the tech-world.
The Swallow, Centre of Emancipating Education was established in 2002 in The Gambia, West-Africa. The Swallow is a legal association, registered as a local non-profit organisation.The Swallow wants to be a meeting place and a source of inspiration for the renewal of education in The Gambia.
